" Coach Bonneville is the greatest man alive. There isn’t a lesson learned under his guidance i’ve left behind, perseverance through all suffering. Love for all walks of life. Finding strength in your weakness, and tough work makes a tougher man. And the list goes on.
Playing for him my sophomore and senior year was the biggest blessing to say the least. He held you accountable for all actions , good or bad, and always had the knowledge and will to show you the way back to glory. He left no stone unturned and his strength was and is endless.
Though we locked horns when it was time to do sprints, there is no other man i’d rather walk into battle with. His words , his actions, and his prayers were the sole purpose our teams left everything we had on the field.
If it was simple to explain who he is I promise I wouldn’t have this much to write. And because of his teachings I left high school with the confidence to tackle the world. And thanks to the tough love and encouragement i’m doing just that, I am settling in in Australia thousands of miles away from home working as a process coordinator for WaterCorp and standing strong every day to make him and my family proud.
THE MAN. THE MYTH. THE LEGEND. "
" Coach Bonneville definitely motivated me on and off the field. He taught me the sport of football through the eyes of a wide out. He taught me pretty much everything about being a complete receiver. Off the field he pushed me as well, I remember having the typing class with him. That once class actually help me pick my major which is business administration.
I went on to play college ball University of Pikeville (Naia). I am now a husband to my high school sweetheart and a father to my princess. I also own Caribbean Soul Cuisine LLC. "
"Coach you had a big impact on me especially on the field , you were always coaching me to get better in every aspect of my game and also gave me the number you had in college, which gave me confidence. Off the field you would always give lessons on life and taught me how to become a better man, a respectful man as well.
I currently play defense for a college in Ohio where I am a graphic design major. "
Coach Bonneville was an incredible influence on me as a football player and as a man entering adulthood. I had played at a bunch of different football programs before my senior year with Coach Bonneville. It wasn't until I started under him that I began to really understand the game and how to maximize my potential on the field. His coaching style is helping each player understand their job and how to execute it. The term "trust the process" is often overused, but in the case of playing for Coach Bonneville it's the only way to succeed. I thought I'd play quarterback as that's what I had played before, but coach put me at linebacker and receiver. I had my doubts at first, but over time I began to see that Coach knew what he was doing. I went on to break and still hold my high school's single season sack record. I then went on to play both slot receiver and outside linebacker in college.
In fact, I went from no college prospects junior year to over 80+ schools calling me during and after my senior season with Coach Bonneville. He forever changed my life not only as a coach but also as a close friend.
If you get the opportunity to play for Coach Bonneville listen and trust what he says because it's proven to not only be what's best for the team but also for you.
